Legal requirements for getting married in The U.S. Virgin Islands

A wedding in the U.S. Virgin Islands is an idyllic way for a couple to start their lives together. With a superior choice of hotels and resorts, you’re certain to find the ideal spot for tying the knot and partying with friends until it’s time to catch the sun rising over the Caribbean. 

No blood tests are required but couples must allow themselves eight days to get the license.  This can be handled through a local wedding planner thereby avoiding an onisland waiting period.

If the ceremony is to be performed by a judge, a letter must accompany the marriage license application stating the date of the couple’s visit, the planned length of stay, and the preference of date.

The license fee is US $50.00
