Legal requirements for getting married in The British Virgin Islands
With all the lavish resorts and quaint guesthouses in the British Virgin Islands, finding the perfect wedding venue isn’t difficult at all, nor is the paperwork required to get married.
Allow yourself three days on island to get the marriage license. Application requires passports or original birth certificates and photo identification. Also necessary is proof of divorce or the death certificate of a deceased spouse, if applicable.
No blood tests are required and the cost is $110 in BVI postage stamps.
Marriage ceremony fees are payable to the registrar, which are $35.00. If the ceremony is performed in the office or $100.00 if performed elsewhere.
